Mac Canon Shutter Count App
Apr 09, 2014 For newer Canon EOS models such as the 1D X Mark II, 5D Mark IV and 5DS the app displays an extended shutter information. Together with plain shutter count you’ll get separate values for photos taken through the viewfinder, photos taken via the Live View and a number of Live View sessions. New users can purchase the app in the respective App Store. Live View Pack and Plus Pack are available as in-app purchases. No, gphoto and its underlying lib are completely unrelated to my app. Moreover, I believe it is not even possible to use this method if you want to distribute your app on the Mac App Store. The app works on my laptop without internet to check my friends gear or used gear. EOS Inspector is free and it doesn’t require an internet connection because it is a self-contained OS X application. Give it a try and let me know what you think about it. ShutterCheck for Mac — Check Shutter Count of Your Canon EOS Camera. LOG IN TO REPLY |

The odometer for your camera.
ShutterCount displays the number of shutter actuations (the shutter count) of your Canon EOS, Nikon or Pentax digital camera, so you can easily check whether a newly purchased camera is really new, or check how heavily used a pre-owned item is. And you can save a trip to a service center by doing the reading for yourself. The count is read directly from USB or Wi-Fi connected Canon EOS DSLRs and select mirrorless models, as well as from image files for Nikon and Pentax cameras.
